About the instructor

I am a Mt. Bethel school counselor. I love teaching children and seeing what sparks their imaginations! I started sewing in my early teens when I took a class at a Singer Store in the mall. I didn't sew at all when my two boys were growing up, but I have recently become a little obsessed with it and love to share that with my Mt. Bethel Buccaneers! Sewing and crafting promote self-expression, creativity, problem solving, and acceptance of mistakes. Sewing also teaches patience, math concepts, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills. Of course, sewing is FUN! What is better than making something "all by myself"?
